im in the process of completing my turbo install.
For the moment, manifold, turbo, downpipe are installed. This weekend ill install the walbro 255 pump with my 12:1 fmu (on stock injectors). I want to know if I forget something to do before starting the car... like I said I will install the pump, fmu, egt-a/f-fuel pressure gauge, bkr7e plug and intercooler this weekend. Put new oil and filter and start it up? I know the fuel pressure should be at 45-50 at idle so if the fuel pressure is ok and all sound good I just test drive it ?

Check for any leaks, check your oil feed and drain on your turbo make sure oil is circulating in there. Secure those vacuum lines with zip ties or tiny clamps especially on the wastegate and BOV.

great, how I can be sure the oil will be circulation in the turbo if I have no leak ? Disconnect a very short time and watch ? sorry for that newb question!

disconnect the feed line from the turbo and start the car for a minute, you should get a steady flow out of the feed line. (obviously make sure the feed line is in some kind of jug to catch the oil).

Eh, it wouldnt hurt it to run it for a minute.

Perfect, ill just start it and if I see oil coming out its fine. Replug and start again.

Here, again. Now only fmu and intercooler left to complete the install. My mfg date of the car is nov 96 so the stock fpr must be at the back near the fuel tank right?. Also, I was worry about the fuel in the tank. A little less then 1/4 tank left and its 87 octane. If I just start the car with the turbo and dont wot the car... just let it drive normal to the nearest gaz station and fill with 91 octane... is it ok ? Or its dangerous to run 10min with that gaz?

Also... im in Canada so anything higher than 91 octane is hard. I know 1 lpace that sell 94. Will it be much safer to run 94 with a 8 psi setup?
