I was lookin on concept illusions, Wiesco pistons and Eagle Rods,$740.my question is, with the pistons and bore size, it has the selection Standard which I assume is the 87.somethin MM bore. I was wondering if I need to bore the block to make the rings in pistons fit,or will they fit nicley with no boreing.Thanks for the help before I order em.

to be completly hohnest with you i would not use those pistons, too many people have had them turn into paperweights

search and youll find the issues

and yes you should bore the block out .020 anyways. You don't want worn pistons walls and new rings. They don't mesh too well. At least put a ball hone down the cyl at Minimum.

Oh yea and don't use weisco pistons.

I know people who used wiesco and JE pistons and had NO problems at all, I have also seen JE pistons blowned to pieces.

You can screw any type of pistons with poor tuning. Don't skip on your engine management and tuning budget. I'm on my second set of JE's now. Hopefully with the MS I will be better equipped.

As far as the Weisco's, I've heard both good and bad. Most of the guys here run Je's, if your looking at a small prie difference, go with the JE's. Do the search on the Weisco's too.

I have been having good results with JE Pistons and Eagle Rods. But no matter what manufacturer, if installation is not done correctly and the tunning is bad, you can brake any type of piston/rod combination from any manufacturer.
