96868, Question about FPR and FMU Posted by neovb, Aug-22-06 03:59 PM
Okay my car has been off the road for nearly a year and a half, and I just now have the time to put it together again. If this is a common question then flame me by all means. :)
I used to run a Walbro 255HP, an SFMU, and a Greddy Emanage. My car is a 1997, so I had to run a return line and all that goodness. I also removed the stock FPR because the SFMU replaced it. Now with the car being off the road all this time, I sold the SFMU and the Emanage.
I still have my old regular Vortech FMU, and I also dug up a regular Aeromotive 1:1 FPR. My question is how would I run the new Aeromotive regulator? Would I place the Aeromotive 1:1 after the fuel rail, run the line from the Aeromotive to the FMU, and then the return back to the tank? Or does the 1:1 have to go in a different location? I still have the Walbro 255 installed.
I know this is a simple setup, but I need the car on the road for a while. Eventually I will upgrade to a better fuel system. I havent worked on the car in so long I forgot everything about it. Any help is appreciated, thanks guys.
