Bearings went bad due to low oil due to leak other than head gasket. And I blew with out a turbo!
Contemplating Turbo. . . . .

I blew my 1st motor cuz of a spun bearing. I was N/A at the time.

Yet another victim of spun bearing! And I don't even have boost.

I would like to vote for rings, but you should edit this as it is not the rings that is the problem, but the ringland. Oh, also you could say lack of fuel caused detonation at 14psi on my stock bottom end. It is usually always lack of fuel, detonation, or oil stavation which would cause the other problems.

Sorry. I understand the intention, which is good, I just happen to be a bit, umm, I guess picky. I work with software testing as part of my job so I get in this mode. ;) Mainly, I want to make sure that the information listed is accurate and not misleading. It is a valid poll to ask though.

I managed to tear up some bearings.

man.. I'm getting tired of people saying/thinking the ring blow out.. they never do.. in fact.. they hold up waaay better than the pistons. I went through three engines.. two of'em went out on me due to high boost and detonation.. the pistons gave out while the rings stayed intact.

Raizin is correct. The rings always make it but the ringlands are brittle under detonation.
