was wondering how you guys checked for boost leaks. I do hear kind of a hissing sound from the FMU when the car is idling, is this normal?
NEWays. give me some ideas as to how to check for leaks. TNKS guys.

Go to home depot and buy a 2" PVC cap, and a 3" to 2" rubber PVC pipe reducer. Run by Autozone (or pepboys, or kragen, carquest, whatever) and buy a set of valve stems (ya know, Schrader valves - like go in your tires) Put the cap in the reducer and hose clamp it, drill a hole in the cap and jam the schrader vale in it, super glue it in.

You just made an IC pipe leak tester. Hose clamp it down to either your turbo or intake pipe, then bust out the air compressor. Pressurize the whole system, and listen for the hisses.

This is better...take off your air filter while your engines running and put a piece of cardboard rite on the compressor. If the engine dies then no leak. If not then you'll hear a hiss where the enigne's trying to find air. Viola!

I always here the same hissing coming from around my cartech FPR...I dont know what it is but my vaccum is normal and I boost just fine.

yeah my guages have been off for the past week while I was re wiring my alarm system, stupid kids that installed it did a really crappy job.

I will put them back on, check for leaks (using Dino's contraption) and hopefully everything will be fine.

makes sence to me,when you place the card board there and it dies without a hiss its eralavent that there isnt a leak,then when the cardboard is placed and if there is a leak as the engine trys to die from not getting air to the motor its gonna try to pullit in anywhere it can which is where youd find the leak,I woulnd just hold the board on there but keep placing it on and off to not let the engine die and listen.Jus a theory?
