So I was tired of working on the body of the car today so I figured I would take it out for a spin since I havent driven it in like a week. So I start it and Vac is 12" and usually on my car its around 16-18" normal. So I let it idle for awhile and its idling like shit and my a/f WILL NOT go any leaner than 11.7. So I try diving it, and as soon as you let off the gas coming to a stop, it stalls...When you try to shift, it stalls. So I come back home quickly and let it try to idle again by itself and its just all over the place, its soo shaky its rediculous. No codes either. Possibly a MAP sensor problem?

Ya I was searcing around a little bit and found o2 sensor probably cause. I am going to get my wrench from work tomorrow when I go back and pull the o2 out and clean her out and see if she is any better. If not, then I will start diagnosing with MAP after that.

If its dead, cleaning it won't help.

Its fairly new actually, maybe I will just return it anyway.

Mine did this when my egr took a shit. if yours is already blocked off ignore me.

yeah thats been gone for awhile now.

New o2 and still same thing, will try a new MAP sensor Friday.

12"hg sounds like a big leak somewhere and that will make the ECU add more fuel.

I was thinking about it, but I wanna be able to run it at the SO and I dont have time to fuck around with it until a couple of weeks after, so therefor, its going to get fixed and then thats it until I slap the turbo, radiator, fans and MSnS in :)

Okay so I swapped in a new o2 sensor and still the same thing.

I checked for vac leaks and I cannot find any at all with my test equipment. It idles at 12" of vac and after about a minute or 2, it will odd out to around 15-16" and idle somewhat, but a/f is still at 11.2 and under IDLING and it will not lean out what-so-ever.

Besides a vac leak and a bad o2, what else could cause a factor in having low vac and running rich?

I thought about the MAP, but I dont see how that would lower the vac, it would just run rich.

Then I thought about timing, but that was checked, its okay.

Idea's guys. idea's. I need to get this baby going in time for the shootout this coming weekend damnit.

This seemed to happen right after I painted my engine bay, I dont see how anything could have gotten fucked up though because the only thing I painted was metal, no wires or anything of any sort, lol...

Anyone know of anything to check or something? TIA 2GNT!

Is it missing at all? Maybe like a stuck injector or bad wire/plug?

How's the FP? I'm not familiar with your setup but if the map and o2 are new theres some reason why your running so rich.

Did you make sure all your wires are hooked up and not melted or something? Probably not the case but you never know.

Yes, everything is fine.

The MAP is not new, but I dont think that will throw off the vac being so low.

I dont know what the fuck is hapening here.

Checked and again, and timing is off by like 1.5 teeth.

Thinking about switching the AEM gears for something else, I just dont like how the marks are on them even though I have corrected them with new marks, I still dont get the 20" of vac that I used to when I had the stock gears, I am always around 16" now.

Anyone use Fidanza or Unorthodox gears?

Also noticed last time I drove it when all this started, that I would build boost but not be boosting. Like I would push the accel pedal down, turbo would spool as normal and build about 10psi, but I was still just driving normally.

Either a boost leak obviously, or its assicated somehow with something else being fooked up...?
