I am nearing the completion of my custom kit so I am starting to double check everything that I have and I came across my Vortech SFMU. I bought it off of a fellow tuner a while back but all I got with it was the biggest disk, dark spring, silver spring, and a stainless 4-an line coming from the side. The question is do I need the restrictor for the vaccume line, or anything else? I bought a barb for the bottom of it to run my return line also. What else do I need for it as far as the restrictor or bleed valve or different disk to run 7lbs?

well if you have the largest disk and dark spring you're fine for running 7lbs on stock injectors. As for the restrictor, IDK I think people have used the sfmu without it and not had problems but I'm not really sure what it's there for all I know is I've got it.

I believe it is there to smooth out the idle or something, I think it has to do with limiting the amount of vaccume or keep it from surging but I am not sure.

You don't need the little restrictor for the vacuum line. That things is stupid. You should be fine with what you have. You might want to track some other disks down the road as you modify your fuel system more.
