hey guys, ive read all about hesitation and it talked alot about the Camshaft and crankshaft position sensors, which i replaced both, replacing plugs and wires, i replaced plugs, wires and coil pack i did not too long ago, now here is the thing, everything was running fine i went on vacation, came back and i feel hesitation through out all rpm ranges (less when im at lik 7K flooring it) its like its missing, i put new spark plugs in and a day later i look and they r black as night, so no since i have replaced the sensors and wires and everything, ive narrowed it down to wat i think is the MS, the MS is not giving the proper amounts of fuel, its giving WAY too much, my AFR reads 10.0 when normally before i went on vacation it was at like 12.7. I then go into megatune and at idle im running 10.0 afr so i go in my VE table and at idle im at 36 map presure and 950rpm, so i go to that value on the VE table and i lower it to add more fuel and to get it to a proper afr reading, i have it as low as 12, which i think is way too low, if its not then ok, but someone let me kno. If anyone has had this problem or has MS and can help me it would be greatly appreciated, thanx

It's like the MS reset or something? :shrug I don't know, I don't have one. :P
I would shoot for mid 12 afr under wot but5 it certainly should NEVER be 10:1. shit thats rich.
14.7ish for idle

I have had this happen a couple of times to my car. Try reloading your MSQ files (this fixed my problem). If that doesn't work you may have to reload the firmware.

I'm pretty sure you should be looking at around 11.5:1 or so under WOT, watch your EGT's and see what works for you.

i kno wat to look for, im just trying to figure out wat my hesitation and running so rich problem is, i think its wat the other posts said and that my MS took a crap and i should reset my MSQ files, which of course i kno how to do that :shrug , but atleast i hope thats the problem

Are you running high or low impeadance injectors? If you have low, are you using the flyback board/resistor pack, or you just using the PWM feature for flyback current control? If the last is what you are using, then its possible you may have a damaged flyback circuit, which can make you run super rich all of a sudden..

if you're running low impedance injetors and not using PWM or a flyback board, you my have killed an injector. I did this, and exhibited the same symptoms - i killed an injector, and it was dumping fuel in that cylinder.

i am using a flyback circuit and i am using PMW to control how much fuel is let in, and ive been told to reload the firmware, which im not sure how to do that, and it sounds like the flyback board would be shot cuz im getting a shit load of fuel in all my cylinders, all my spark plugs are black

Also to clearify, you are using the v3.0 correct?
I will find you a link on reloading the firmware, in the mean time make sure you have easytherm loaded on your PC.

Just a note on loading the "extra" firmware, all the newer firmware codes come with a "download.bat" file, included in the firmware zip folder. Just clicking on this bat file will download the firmware to the MS, without using the boot jumper, or any other program like easytherm. The only time you need the boot jumper to load code, is when you are going from either a new processor, or a processor that has the basic MS fuel only code. If you already have an "extra" code version programmed in your processor, then all you need to do is to click on the download firmware bat file.

Ah, i havent really looked into that, i am kinda set in the old boot jumper metality.
