96162, T3 Turbo?
Posted by axelthrasher, Jul-10-06 05:11 PM
OK, here's my deal right now... I'm looking at a T3 Turbo with an exhaust manifold. What's it worth? How much power can I push with it - stock 420a internals in my motor. How buildable is it? Just let me know how much I need to put into this setup and how much work is really needed and if it will even be worth it. Thanks for all the help.

FYI.

The above post WAS YOU not too long ago.

Dude, you have to search. Hell, it doesn't even sound like you know anything about turboing a vehicle. I mean, You might know but the way you speak to people on the internet is important if you want people to take you even, remotely serious.

Just read at least 500 threads in the turbo/nitrous forum and then ask an educated question.

It's Only worth what someone is going to pay for it

You can make 250whp on a stock 2gnt motor at 10psi of boost.

I just made that up but thats about all your going to get without SEARCHING!

Well you sound like someone who pays someone ELSE to do the work. It's not rocket science really, Your just running a turbine in between the head and the downpipe while raising fuel pressure according to boost, while running oil through the turbo and back into the oilpan. lol Nothing to it. If you Search

MR. ScreaminE do us all a favor refrain from posting in the thread you offer no information on. This is a valid post with decent questions. Although the search fuction should have been used more, the post is in the right section and typed with English the rest of us can read. This post will not be locked, I can lock your account so you cant login would you prefer that in exchange?

Depending on the condition of the T3 turbo and what's inside it (ie, what trim, what wheel, etc) and manifold I'd say used, probably around $500-$600usd together.

You can either do nothing, and turbo the stock block, and always worry about it breaking a rod or it won't. Some have went many many miles running 7-10psi.

I have fully built my 420a, with in reason... I didn't do a solid deck or anything crazy like that. Just forged internals, and maybe more displacement :). So, i'm not sure what yer asking by asking how buildable is it.
