No Joke there are guys who do swap! One guy wanted to charge me 5 grand and I know of a Mistu shop woman's son did it for 10 gezz.
I'd say 5 is slightly above fair price when you weigh the pros and cons of buying and rebuilding a GST "IF" it is done right with nooo problems down the road. At least ya know how bad ya suspension system etc.. has been abused if ya go with the swap.
I would more than likely not do it in California only because the ECU/Smog systems on our cars are so fickle :( Although it is legal.

Next time I stop by this guys shop or I find his buiness card I'll post his phone number up.
