95670, Fuel grade question Posted by xlr82x, Jun-15-06 08:13 AM
Ok not sure if this has been posted somewhere but if it is then just delete it and I will search again. I tried to do a search on my lunch break for the type of fuel that should be put into a 420a turbo eclipse. I have heard that you have to start putting premium fuel in or there would be knocking. Is this true or would I be best to stay with the unleaded gas? Thanks for the help.

If your turbocharged you want to have the highest octane level fuel that is availiable at the pump.
If your still NA, whatever is cheapest is good haha, usually 87 octane.

Premium is unleaded gas. look for 92+ octane. Some areas of the country only have 91 which is all you get. sounds like you are confusing premium with leaded race fuel.
