95545, Stock Hahn Stage 2 WHP Numbers? Anyone got em?
Posted by biggnasty, Jun-10-06 01:42 AM
I've been looking not only in this forum, but all over the net. I've found info saying that the stock kit with 5psi will output 223WHP. Now correct me if I'm wrong but doesn’t the stage 2 supposedly give you 235 to 250 at the flywheel?

I'm so confused and pissed because I can’t get a clear answer like "the HRC Stage 2 with FMIC will give you XXX WHEEL HORSE POWER!!!".

I'm going to be receiving my kit from another member in a few weeks. And would really like to know what kind whp I'm getting, not flywheel power minus 15% or whatever it is thats lost through the drivetrane.

Off topic here, but my friend just got a Golf GTI and he is stock at 200 WHP and torque. He claims that I'll never beat him even with straight pipe.

It isnt an exact science. It depends on things like exhaust, condition of the motor, even air temp on the day it was dynod.

As a reference though my built lower compression motor at 8psi was 222whp. A stock compression motor should have a little more everything esle being equal.

Bench racing is for paraplegics. Are you dead from the waist down? Knock it off.

There are far too many variables to really decide and besides, since when was horsepower the only measure of a car? :wary

The new GTI's are retardedly slow, just like the last generation.

I'm not gonna get mad at you for being an ass, but I am going to say that I AM NOT BENCH RACING!!! I want to know other members personal WHP after they dyno'd with the stock HRC Stage 2 turbo with a basically stock car. If you cant even attemp to give me an answer on a question that is requesting already dyno'd info then I guess your not help at all.

And by the way, I'm still looking for an answer.

He's right, the only way to know is to have it dynoed.

For example, two guys dynoed 193 at 7psi on the star kit which is a bigger turbo than the hahn s16g. Another dynoed 232 at 10psi w/star. Another 230 at 10psi on the hahn kit. I couldn't find any numbers for 5-8psi for hahn kits though.

Edit, then look at this post: http://forums.2gnt.com/dcboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=8&topic_id=95542&mode=full

261whp @10psi on the star kit

Don't forget it also depends on what kind of dyno it is done on etc.

Take it to the track and drive the ever living shit out of it and that is worth more then HP numbers!

Its not always the size of your HP #'s...but how you use them.

Soo true... And this is pretty much bench racing. Your asking what to expect but trying to justify it by asking what others have gotten. It doesn't really matter what others have gotten though because each car is different and you won't get the same as the next guy. The only way to know is to go dyno it once you have it installed.
Good luck

It is like asking Mr. Owl how many lick does it take? There are soo many factors to consider that we can not give you a definite answer.

I am almost embarrassed to admit that I am geek enough to know what this means.
