95364, Re-Install Part II (with Pix for others, 56k....NO!)

ok so here we go.

first off, remove the engine roll stop bar's bolts and let it hang by the rubber hangers, this proves to be INVALUABLE when removing the oilpan, removing the oil sensor, and installing the sender and sensor.

and now the pictures:
*please note, these are being temporarily hosted at www.3fastperformance.com and will in all likelihood be removed by this friday. I will be taking additional pictures of the Downpipe install and the FMIC & piping install

The Oil Pan without return tube:

Inside the Oil Pan WITH return Tube:

Outside the Oil Pan WITH return Tube:

Oil Return Tube on installed pan:

Oil Sensor & Oil Sensor w/Oil Sender:

Oil Sensor On Car:

27mm DEEP Socket on the oil sensor:

Oil Sender and Sensor installed:

Sensor hooked up along with Oil Feedline:

Powdercoated DP, Oilpan with draintube installed w/ O2 sensor in:

Oil Feed lines other end, screwed into the turbo:

Same as above, intake side angle:

and here is me, under the car installing the engine roll stop bar... dont you love it when girlfriends pic up the camera when you arent paying attention?

Im making it my sig pic, lol

This is one of those things that nobody ever really took good pics of before and its nice to see them now.

All I really have to add is, an impact socket is not deep enough for the oil pressure sensor. I tried using one, it looked deep enough, but it was not quite and I broke the sensor. It might have just been my fault, but I'm blaming my tool.

I took the sensor into pepboys with me and placed it in the socket to be sure it fit before buying. I'll get the details of it later and post that info here.

its my ipod shuffle and.. you can see one of the 2 jackstands above my elbow in the last pic. I never work without jack stands and I rarely work with JUST jack stands.

thanks for the compliments and comments, Im hoping these pictures stay around and are used for some sort of "how to guide" for installing a turbo here on 2gnt

How come you actually wasted your time and money on fittings to connect the oil pressure sending unit.

It belongs in the garbage.

Other than that. Good pics for ne_wbs.

I was just saying you could have used the spot where the sending unit goes and just run the line to your turbo ONLY. Thats how I did it.

I'm just saying the sending unit is useless being there cause it doesn't really do anything and the ecu doesn't look at it so you'd never get a code.

who_ot malenko.

who_ot.

There exi9sts a socket known as an "oil pressure sending unit removal socket." It's basically a 1 & 1/16" extra-deep socket. Cost me $7 when i installed my kit oh so many years ago.
