I'm going to do the compression test now.

7.7psi 5k rpms, 0.96 o2 voltage (logged) the VC breather shot off and sprayed oil EVERYWHERE!!!.

I was only a block away from my shop so I ripped here andn poped the hood.

ughh.. Oil is a pain in the ass but I got most of it off with some good degreaser. Next I pull the plugs out and they're a healthy dose of whiteness.

The whole time I was driving my friend had the o2 voltage right in front of him. We were out tuning the high TH for 2 hours without incident starting from zero and slowly pulling fuel as if was running hella rich.

We had it kind of tuned when I was pulling -16 @ 4k and -15 @ 5 and so on to 7k.

It was running good, pulled good & never missed a beat. I loved it actually. Idle was good with the 450's at 30psi idle, 40psi static and the afc pulling -50 at idle.

Thats enough about that. I'm gonna go do this compression test.

Oh yea, the motor was a .020 over stock rebuild 8k Miles on it. :(

cold -

125
125
165
100

Now I would say I cooked the rings a bit. ;(

I'm a little choked.

Now I'm gonna throw some oil in the cyl. and try again.

HERES the safc settings I had lo th=45% hi th=70% I had near perfect ST fuel trims in all lo settings up to 4K which I rarely hit without 70% throttle.

lo- 1k -50%
2K -31%
3k -18%
4K -17%

These were all tuned under load, not like it says in some of the safc setups that say to do this in nuetral.

hi- 4k -17%
5k -15%
6K -14
7k -13

Now I did i swear 30 pulls through out 3-6K go get those hi settings. The o2 was usually readin around .90 - .96 but with those settings zeroed I was getting a to rich code. After pulling some fuel and driving a bit the cel went away and the car felt great.

Meh. I don't know what happened but it kind of sucks. :(

w/o oil 125 w/oil 150
w/o oil 125 w/oil 205
w/o oil 165 w/oil 255(???)
w/o oil 100 w/oil 205

Looks like I'm gonna take the head off right now and see what it looks like. heh.

Bet you lost an intake-side ring land.

On a stock motor, i always tune rich - like .97-.98 rich.

Jesus. someone say something :shrug

I mean, it's not the end of the world.

I'm not gonna let a silly piston get in my way from having the world's First 200whp N/A 2GNT lol

just joking Brian, but what I'm getting at is, shit happens and I'll get over it. lol. But the next thing is, I don't know where to quit. Like, right now I could put a used motor in there and sell it. Done. Or do I actually put some forged shit in the motor like I should have done last year(Iwas kinda broke) and actuallyy run some decent boost.

Someone say something. jeez.

This is why they make wideband o2 sensors!! :) Build her right and ride her hard.

And CEL will only say too rich for part throttle and idle. That would be your low throttle settings and/or you have you high throttle % set too low. I believe the CEL is based on fuel trims and at WOT there are no fuel trims and I don't believe o2 sensor will trigger the CEL.

Blizare you were tuning from the stock o2 sensor? I have a wideband for sale (aem) 220 American. Don't know what to charge to be sent to Canada thought :shrug
