Hows it goin. I have my spare motor in my garage still waiting for Howells stroker kit and my head to come in. i will be running megasquirt with that setup. In the meantime i was thinking about throwing the Gt35r :love on my stock motor with about 100k on it. i have everything needed such as the mani, downpipe, all vac and oil lines, gauges, front mount with piping, walboro 255 and a 6lb spring(just for stock motor) for the external wastegate.
Instead of hooking up the megasquirt for now can i get away with the walboro 255, 450 injectors and my buddies fmu. heading up to the track in a couple of weeks and i want to be running at least a couple lbs.
Also i have a brand new garret 60-1 if anyones interested. Thanks for all your help

Will that turbo do anything at 6 psi?

I think it may spin at 3 rpms lol.

First off, the G35r probably won't do anything at 6 psi on your stock motor. Second, what ratio FMU are you going to be using? If it is the 12:1 then just use stock injectors, not 450's. The 450's will make you extremely rich with a 12:1

you'll at least need to disable your stock FPR and use an adjustable FMU (SFMU) so that you can get your fuel pressure down to around 18-20psi for starters.

oh yeah, stock bottom end. You dont need big injectors.

I say crank it up to 25psi and go do some smokey burnouts.

F it, why not put a 40r on there?

Are you serious with this post? Why even put that turbo on there if you dont plan on 'using' it. If you want 6 psi dont even waste that turbo's time, stick a 14b on it or something that would be fun to drive around town with. You'll have 6 psi for what, 2000 rpm?

6lbs will be good enough for now if not ill crank it up. i know its a honda but my buddy put one on his 1.8 gsr civic. around 5 grand he had 10lbs and pushed him to a 12.2 quater spinning tire halfway down the track. he ran 1000cc injectors, tuned it, and went to the track the next day. he was beat by a 1st gen talon in the finals. lol
So just the 12:1 fmu and stock injectors should be fine. thanks worse come to worse i will turn up the boost and spin tire. should be interesting.

12:1 will only be good to 8psi.

Worse come to worse, you will not spin, but your motor will say good bye to you. And hello to rebuild, lol. I have a SC61 on my built motor and run 15 psi (installing new oil pump now) and 6psi is nothing. It will pull, but you will be like "damn this is slow". I know, i have the same turbo as a GT35, but mine spools up later. Was the honda built and how many pounds of boost was he running? Honda's can use the power for higher rpms unlike us and i am sure you know that. There are plenty of hondas running 10-11's, but not many 420A eclipse's. But install it and give us an update, go have fun with it.
