i have a aermotive fpr and i was going to buy the slowboyracing return line kit for $100. Is there a better way to go. I all so have the safvc 2. Could some help me out with my fuel problem. I am trying to push 22 lb. on a fully built 420a. but the hard thing is that i live in GERMANY. THANK YOU

Are you sure you have a 420a? Any pics? The European 2gnt's came with 4g63's, but I know there are some 420a's in europe(dont know how they got there) a guy from france has one.

If i were you I d forget about fuel and focus on german beers

22 lb injectors have no place in a fully built 420a.

You have the Aeromotive 1:1 FPR? Thats a good product, now I think you should just invest in a Megasquirt and some bigger injectors and have some fun.

what is the megasquirt. Were should i get and which one. does it have datalogging. IS it easy to use. Help me out with that please. yes it is 1:1. how do i hook it up to the fuel rail and if you could give me a parts list for that. It is hard oversea to figure out what i need.

After seeing these questions, I don't think your ready for the Megasquirt. The megasquirt is a DIY standalone and isn't for the weak at heart. I suggest searching and searching and searching.... and after that, do a little more searching because there is a lot of info and it will take a while to sink in.

You would save some money by making that yourself. You'll need roughly 10ft of braided line to get from the tank to the engine bay. The line and hose ends can be had from any online racing shop (Jegs or Summit Racing). If you run a -06 an line you'll just need a male to male fitting with both sides -06. If you run a -04an line you'll need a -06an to -04an reducer (male on both ends) fitting for the bottom return port. Thats about 60 bucks worth of stuff.

I made mine myself with some hard line and rubber fuel line. Not exactly the easiest to flare (I think I broke 2 flaring tools) but it turned about really good.

I just installed a fuel return line for my turbo install. I went to the trouble of installing hard lines as far as possible in each direction. I have a short 6" piece of hose from the return line under the back seat to the top of the fuel tank. There will be another short piece of rubber hose from the fpr to the return line under the hood.

It was a bit of trouble to run the hard line between the chassis and the front sub-frame up into the engine compartment (since the motor is in the car) but I love the neatness and factory look of the 5/16" steel line with double flared fittings. I was able to make the full run in just two pieces. The photos show you the rest. I rented a double flare tool and did the rest with standard 5/16" brake lines, some unions, flare fittings, etc.





This is under the back seat area of the car. I removed the factory fpr and flipped over the "T" fitting. I blocked the spare port where the fpr was with a bolt and copper washer. My car has sound proofing applied so you can easily see the new line I added. At the very top you can see the rubber hose that goes about another 6" into the fuel return fitting on top of the fuel pump access cover. I also changed the fuel filter while I was under there.


I followed the existing lines towards the front.


This was the last connection made. I cut the line to length and made a double flare to complete the line.


This is where I could no longer follow the factory lines so I moved the line up through another opening to the bottom of the firewall.


Here is a better shot of where the line goes between the chassis and the sub-frame.


The line comes up and re-joins the fuel inlet line along the firewall.


The line is just above the sub-frame and under the shift cables in this pic.


The line ends just below the fuel inlet line. My fpr will be mounted where the washer fluid bottle used to be. My washer fluid bottle will be replaced with a GST bottle installed in the rear of the car.

Once Again you were thinking along the same lines... I like the way you think.

Ive been trying to obtain a spare reg/filter setup to do this with, but seeing yours makes me want to go for it gun-ho.

Mind sharing the info and specs on the bolt you used to plug it with? The sizes and part numbers for the fittings? Where did you get them?

Your setup looks great, and is practically identical to mine.


The only difference though is that wherever the fuel line was in contact with something, I spliced some rubber hose to protect it from rubbing. It probably won't make much of a difference, since it won't move much and it's metal, but the jiggling of the car and chassis flex was enough to convince me to take some time and protect it.

Food for thought.....

My car is undercoated with an elastic sound reducing coating that is very thick and rubber-like. I'll slip on some rub protection where the lines are on the firewall but the rest of the line is in contact with the soundproof coating so I should be good.

The bolt to block off the fpr port is the same thread as the banjo bolts for the fuel filter. I just went to Ace hardware and matched it up. I think it was M12 1.25 pitch. I had to cut off about 1/4" of threads since they didn't have a shorter one in stock. The brake lines and fittings are just normal 5/16" steel brake lines from Pep Boys or Autozone that come with fittings on them already. You can buy unions and extra flare fittings while you are there. They lines were straight sections and I used a little hand-held tubing bender to form. Some of the bends had to be formed by hand as the lines were fed through the car. I do as much of the bends as I can before the lines go in.

The fuel return line has a barbed fitting that I made from a short piece of extra brake line. It has a slight barb on the end to hold the hose although it is low pressure and probably not needed I feel better having it on there. The short flexible hose is fuel injection rated hose from Pep Boys. 100psi working and 500 psi burst strength. Overkill for a return line but no harm in using good quality line. I want this to last a long time.

Ah that is Great But i live in GERMANY and we dont have stores like that. I wanted a steel braided kit so i could do it my self cause the germans but know what they are doing on this model eclipse.
