Hey everyone... for those who have long rod motors, what exactly do those spacers for the rings look like? I dont think they came with my long rod kit, and from what I understand not using them is a big bad mistake. Anyone have a pic or something?

I gotta get in touch with Howell and see if they have some.

No idea what your referring to unless your talking about the spacer for the oil ring. That doesnt have anything to do with the fact you have a long rod though.

yes, it does. The long rod puts the wrist pin higher then stock, necessitating a spacer between the wrist pin and the oil rings. Leaving it out causes massive oil consumption.

You must use an oil ring spacer on any set of oil rings though, how is the long rod one different?
