well i decided to be a hero today and install my new gauges and my new egt, everything went well till i got to the part where i needed to remove my downpipe, turbo , to get to the manifold so i can tap it and i dont know how but 2 of the 3 studs on the turbine housing that attach to the downpipe are now part of the turbine housing, they turned a little but than snapped right off, and yes they were arp. so i tried drilling then and using easy outs and everything and in the end they are not gonna come out, so i got this really pretty turbine housing thats useless to me. Any body have anyidea why it would bond together this good after only about 9 months? and also its a hahn s16g so does that mean i need to get a new housing from them or can i go with any? are they universal? probably a dumb question but need to know cause i need to order one tommorrow if not

Well you have a couple of options. Here is what i do when i have that problem:
Tig weld a bolt or nut to the broken stud in the housing and try to turn it out slowly and use some heat and soak it in PB blaster before (i normally use a nut and fill it with weld although sometimes it still breaks off)
and/or
Drill a hole completly through the stud and use a torch and burn the stud out (this takes some skill but it can be done)
If you can't get them out you could send the housing to me and i could see if i can get them out.

clamp the housing down, get some oxy/act torches heat the bolts til their red, then get some vise grips and you'll get those out

did exactly that but it wasent that easy had to wiggle back and forth and spray wd40 for about 30 min finally got the one out, as for the other there is nothing to grab, drilled it but still cant get it out, easy outs dont help either, heated it till it glowed nothing.???

I had the exact same thing happen to me. Try drilling it again. Find the biggest drill bit that can possibly fit in the housing with out hitting the threads. I hit one side of the threads and had to retap it. The smaller the remains of the bolt, the easier it is to get out. After drilling, take a chisel (or flat screwdriver)and hammer to break the rest of the bolt's remains out.

this is some good advice, the heat worked great, i was able to get one out without causeing any damage and the other came out but a screwed up the threds i re threded it and everything good now, car is actually up and running, this tome i used anti seeze.

Machine shop,they charged me 15 bux to get a stud out and rethreaded it. It only took them about 10 mintes
