I bought a Vortech FMU (not the SFMU) on ebay a while back and when i got it I noticed the fittings on it were different. The top, vacuum, one is the same but the in/out bottom two fittings are different. The barbs on it are for 1/2" hose not 1/4" like they come stock. Is it a 4an male to 1/4" barb fitting? I looked on summit and anplumbing and couldnt find anything. Anyone have to order these before?

First question, is this a 96+ fuel system with the stock fpr in the rear? If so then you may be able to get away with a bit larger than stock rubber fuel hose to run from the fpr to the fmu to the tank. Sorry I didn't really answer your question, but that's about all I can contribute to this

Anything helps, yes this is a 99 GS. I might have to try that way if i cant find the fitting.

I found 6an to 1/4" barb fitting but couldnt find a 4an one. I guess i could just call vortech but i just wanted to see if any of you guys knew first.

i think the fmu has 1/4npt to 1/4barb fittings ,i dont think there AN but im not sure. what is exactly the problem your having ?

The person that I bought it from changed the 1/4" barbs to 1/2". I want to go back to stock size, the stock return hose wont fit on the bigger barbs. So the problem Im having is figuring out if there 4an or 1/4npt and where to get the fittings.

im pretty sure there 1/4npt and u can get them from home depot in the plumbing aisle

My FMU had -4AN -> 1/4" hose barbs..

Went to auto value and they had what i needed. It was just an npt fitting, thanks guys.
