My egt probe broke and was wondering if I saudering (sp) or welding it would work instead of buying a new one. It broke right after the part that threads into the manifole and before the bend.

I don't think it would work. I wouldn't waste the time in doing something like that. You can get a very quick and accurate TRE probe for pretty cheap. The TRE probe will work in replacement of the Autometer probe too and it's about 10X faster.

no you cant solder it or weld it, that would destroy the probe.

Yeah the tre probe is the one that broke. I was just seeing if I could fix it instead of pay 45.00 but oh well.

You might be able to find one on Ebay a little cheaper.

My TRE probe broke 2 days after I got it. They work good, not a solid design though.

ive had tre probes for the life of my turbo system. they are the best. that is all.
