Can you e-mail me with what I have to do to take the HKS SSBOV apart to get at the spring. I would like to change the spring while my car is parked for the winter. My email is eclipserider@hotmail.com

Also did you ever get the speed sensor to work on the AVC-R.

So your HKS thingy still sounds like a turkey. How much boost are you running?

Why not just adjust the bolt on the top? I actually swapped the spring in my Blitz BOV as the stock one is really only good to around 15-18psi from what I have seen. The new one is much stiffer than the old one, but the noise remains. Why would you want to get rid of the BOV noise? If you really want to supress it, vent it back into your intake.

I was under the impression that if you change the spring in the HKS BOV that it would get rid of the turkey sound and only give you the piercing air sound. I only want to get rid of the turkey not the sound all together.

my gobble is not so bad now, just a little, but the problem i believe is that the HKS valve being a pull type has the valve and shaft in the flow path of the air, so regardless of the valve size you will have some restriction. I bought the blitz one cause it is like the greddy one in that the valve pulls away from the flow path of the air, that is why these valve seem to work better at low boost. i put a soft spring into the HKS and it appears to make it a little better but it opens way too easy, and doesent seal very good at idle. I'll let you know my impressions on the blitz when i install it tomorrow.
