9435, I'm in Florida for a while looking for something to do Posted by Greg, Nov-14-01 07:59 AM
I'm here in Palm City, FL (120 miles south of Orlando and it's 100 miles north of Miami) for at least a month wondering if anyone wants to organize a FL meet and/or go to the local drag strip here (Moroso Motorsports Park) and do some drag racing with me. Anyone interested??

Actually it was pretty cool. I stayed all through the practice runs so I got to see every car make atleast two runs. I had to leave because my 6-2 chicago bears were playing football that day. Any way I got to see a 10.5 second supra that a guy in orlando DSM owns. It even had a huge stereo set up in it and still ran a 10.5. He ran against another supra that runs low 12's. I also got to see Keiths GSX run a 12.1, and also got to see a 1G Talon run a 11.9. The 11 second talon is also owned by the same guy that owns the supra. Plus there were many other DSM's that ran in the 14's and even a couple 15's. I was really impressed by the 2 SOHC neons that were running low 15's all motor. And of course there were plenty of roteries that make A LOT of unnecessary noise. Over all it was a pretty good time.
