94282, stupid question.

when switching to ss fuel lines i read the sfmu diagram in mods section and theres a part where it says keep lines stock from fuel filter to fuel rail? http://www.2gnt.com/nuke/modules.php?name=Sections&op=viewarticle&artid=82
is everyone's setup like that?

That's in reference to the stock hardline, this doesn't need to be changed. The late model fuel system is a returnless setup so what your actually doing when installing an SFMU is adding a return line back to the tank. The stock return line will be eliminated when you remove the stock FPR that is back by the tank.

Edit: if you follow that method it removes the stock hardline that feeds to the stock fuel filter and just add an SS line to a universal filter which then attaches to the remainder of the hardline that supplies fuel to the fuel rail. You can opt to keep the stock hardline to fuel filter and stock fuel filter by just removing the stock FPR and putting a bolt in its place, which I have poorly illustrated here:

Anyways hope that helps

When I did mine, I actually added the FEED line (used some good sized stuff too). I used the stock feed line for my return line. You have to re-plumb some stuff in the back, but it worked out fine.

cs82685 thx alot for the illustration dude, that was just what i was thinkin of. and i heard universal filters are not as good as usin the stock one so im just gona take off the fpr like u said and block the thing with a bolt, take off the return line from tank and replace with ss that goes to return of sfmu mounted in engine bay. and for feed im going to replace the hardline going to fuel filter with ss line but i was wondering if 6an ss would clamp right onto filter, cause last time i remember checking that hardline was screwed into filter with a bolt. should i just leave it the way it is? also its brazed from the top so i cant unscrew it. i was gona buy the plate plus bracket off this one guy which isnt brazed. what you think i should do?
