94241, problem with my hahn manifold and a sheared stud Posted by turbo8u, Mar-28-06 01:49 PM
the Hahn manifold comes with 4 3/8-16 studs coming out of it to mount the turbo with 4 nuts on the end.
i noticed after my recent 550 mile road trip that one of those studs was sheared off inside the manifold.
my question is, are they screwed in there and can they be removed? it came from hahn with the studs already in. I havent pulled it all apart but I was going to drill it and bolt extract it and see how that works. its sheared off inside so i dont have a lot of options. let me know if they can be removed, that would be great.
ideas?

Pretty sure they're threaded in with red loctite. Just drill it out, you'll probably need a tap to chase it, I've never gotten an ez-out to bite into grade 10 manifold bolts. Had to do this several times on my 4g63 manifold.
