9398, RE: BOV fix Posted by Semperboost, Nov-14-01 06:24 AM Me and Raizin (rick) had the same problem. His solution was to take off the intake pipe. It worked!.. a little, but I still had the gobble gobble thing. I don't boost alot even with an I/C and I wanted to hear my BOV alot. So I took apart my BOV and took out a spring..pput it back together and adjusted it. NOw the piercing whistle only heard at 6lbs is heard at..uh...0lbs!!..It goes off like crazy especially on cold nights. If i adjusted the spring real loose I leak boost and you can hear it leak also. Also the whistle comes much quicker when your BOV is leaking. But that's my fix | |

9400, RE: BOV fix Posted by rsXboy99, Nov-14-01 05:54 PM Speaking of this damn greddy type s bov...the screw in the top for adjustments poped out...literally..It is brand new (2 months) and the threads on the bov are stripped as are the threads on the adjustment screw..and I never even set it..because it came tightened down far enough...this sucks does greddy have warranty? | |
