i was lookin around on the internet for a vertical core, and came across one with these dimensions 3.5" deep, 6" high and 25" long. i checked up on the company (vecco.net) and they seem legit, and make what looks to be some sick turbo kits for mustangs. i have a 97 talon, so this would fit perfectly in the lip, but im worried about pressure drop, so if anyone has their .02 to throw down, let me know.

I think you need to look more at the core's flow capacity than you do the estimated pressure drop.

it "says" it flows 1492cfms per minute, and can handle beyond 900hp. im kinda worried about it though, cuz if its so good, why hasnt anyone bought it yet?? also, somethin about the flow numbers seems a little inflated.

Because it's overkill for most street applications and what we do here represents such a very insignificant portion of the market that just because "we" haven't done it, doesn't mean its not good / correct / better than what we've got or do.

Seems like a good core to me, though probably bigger than you'd need.
