picked up a t3/t4 turbonetics 50trim turbo from a friend of mine. When i blow in the oil feed and cover the drain i can hear air spilling out of the intake side of the turbo. would this indicate blown seals or is the positive pressure against the seals not all that great with a properly installed drain setup.

Just want to know before i take this turbo off his hands.

there is very little side to side play. and no in and out play.

if ya want pics of the turbo id be happy to post them up if that could help any.

Air is not oil. If there is no shaft play on a *DRY* turbo, then yes, i'd say its good. Normally, there will be some play when its dry because the oil film and pressure support the shaft in a running state, and dry it has nothing to keep it from wobbling in the built in bearing tolerances.

Time warner cable/ Roadrunner.
Its done w/ the bin file on our servers that your cable modem downloads before it is assigned an ip adress on network. Different class modems (buisness, school, Residential, Premium, VIP) have different bin files. That little 35kb file is what keeps your cable modem ; which most are capable of well over 20MBPS from getting that high, and capping them at 3 - 8MBPS or whatever you cable service provider allows.

There are ways that you can tell the modem that your computer is the server and give it your own bin file, but it will report back an odd filesize to our Servers which will then yellow flag the modem for review. Its not recomended, you will get caught.
