92677, searched..still dont know what to do Posted by zags13, Jan-11-06 04:57 PM
ok, so im planning to rebuild with: 8.8:1 je pistons, eagle rods, aeromotive 1:1 and a 255 walbro. im gonna throw on a 16g and hopefully stroke to a 2.2 liter. i plan on running about 18-20 psi daily, with a few more psi at the track, maybe 25 tops. my questions are what stage clutch and what size injectors do you guys recommend i get. im doing this 100%, meaning that im getting everything machined and balanced, new bearings, valves, springs, retainers, lifters, cams, motor mounts, new intake manifold, bored tb, and a bigger fuel rail and i plan on tuning with the megasquirt. i searched, and found the page to select injectors, but i honestly have no idea what the hell ill be making with this setup. i plan on calling concept illusions tomorrow and askin about this stuff, so let me know what kinda experiences you have had with those guys too. any advice is appreciated. thanks in advance.

running 18-20 psi you need at least 470cc injectors

At the very least 470cc. I'd get something bigger though since you'll be tuning with the ms. 550cc or 660cc would be great, plus it leaves a little room in the future for an upgrade. Spec stage 3 would be a great clutch to get. Other than that, looks like you got it pretty much covered.

Mike, I think your going to need some bigger injectors for that boost on that turbo.

I ran 20psi on 440's...
I did my homework, trust me, I will see 25psi on the 525cc's.

My suggestion is to go with 48lb injectors and a spec stage 3+ clutch,
And off topic , not sure if anyone is still having issues with those stage 3 clutches, does anyone here run SPEC stage 3 now thats having problems, im trying to see if they actually fixed the issues with the pressure plates, i have called SPEC a few times before and they always denied any fault with their products and that it was the users not breaking them in properly. Go figure

I use a spec 3 and have ran 20+ psi for the last year with no problems.
