Hey fellas I heard someone say that it may be a little late to turbo if you have high miles. so I was curious if you plan on upgrading internals and over boring and all that anyway when you turbo will it ever be too late? and if so why? because i was thinking if i had 100,000 miles on it if i replace the bottom end it would still be ok right?

I put on my turbo kit when my engine had about 73,000 miles on it. Just do a compression test and see what the numbers are. ANd if you get the internals done your engine will be like new. When they take the engine apart you might have to get some valve work done too but it shouldnt be a big problem.

How much does it cost to get the internals done? Can most places do it for me?

The rebuild kit is $1099 at howell automotive. And the labor could be anywhere from $600-$1000.

I had 130,000 when i put mine on. 6 months installed and no sign of trouble.

wow slapped one on at 130k? i think that would be the highest mileage to start boostin..?? anyone higher? that gives me hope for my 115k. and i like to hear no probs! good ish man!
