Has anyone here using the Deltagate had any boost control problems? Boost going up or down, spring sticking, anything?

Everyone with a Star kit has one. To my knowledge no one's having problems.

The Star Kit dumps to the atmosphere correct? Any particular reason why? (performance, sound) Does it make the car noticably louder?
Thaanks in adavance :)

Yes it dumps into the atmosphere. Yes there is a performance benefit (mostly not disrupting the turbine exhaust flow and not adding additional volume to the regular exhaust). At 6psi it was quite noticeable (not any louder than the regular exh). At 10psi all I hear is turbo and filter noise. Cant hear it at all. Might have something to do with the filter mounted on the turbo but I cant hear the wastegate.

Thanks for the input so far :) Would you rather have it plumbed into the Downpipe? or leave it the way it is?

I hated that sound of the wastegate opening up..not only cuz that's the end of the Booost but cuz it sounds like an open exhaust. Plus it vents rite into your engine bay. I had my dump tube welded back into the downpipe. Now all I hear is the spool and BOV

LAST EDITED ON 14-Nov-01 AT 12:43 PM (PST)I plumbed mine back into the downpipe just because it sounds like total crap if you don't.
Here's a pic:

I'm going to weld mine into the downpipe for legality reasons (inspection).
