I saw those posts man. Once I saw the one dope post on how the RS and GS motors are totally different since he works with them weekly, I knew I was out of my league.

I thought what I may have to say may be totally ridiculous at that point.

hey dude, ic you got the msd dis2 what yr and model is your car? could you email me and let me know what wires colors etc i got to tap into i plan on getting a msd dis 2 for my 99 gs hrc stage 2 soon. also did you just need one or two tach adapters? could you let me know the part #S if you got the time?

Well you supposedly only need 1 tach adapter but my car won't start with the adapter hooked up. I am running without an adapter and that gives me a CEL and code 43 twice. I have 1 other thing that I need to try with the adapter to see if I can make it work.

As far as the wiring goes, I went to www.asog.net and followed the walkthru that they have on that page. Using that and the instuctions I was able to install the ignition in about 30 minutes.

what year is your car dude? also where did you go to on that page which link on that page? also what wires in color did you tap into for the ignition so it makes it a bit easier on me...

Follow the MSD instuctions for connecting the DIS-2 and the tach adapter. Ok now the part where MSD couldn't help me. Undo the plug to your coil pack. Then cut the wire about 5" back. The Black and red wire in the middle is your 12v feed; connect your coil feed there on the plug, then you connect the MSD feed on the other end since you cut it inhalf. The other four connection don't matter what order as long as you put the 1st negitive on the same color, and the second on the other. Don't cross these. You will have a power to connect to your battery positive, and a ground to the negitive. The Blue and Brown wires still hanging are for the staging rev limit and the kill switch. Don't forget to set it up for a waste spark, because you will need one.

the coil feed is one of the wires coming from the msd which connects to the plug correct?
then another wire from the msd is the msd feed ( is this a different color wire from above? ) which connects to the other end not connected to the plug anymore right ?
the other 4 connections you are talking about where do they tap into ? where are these wires located?
what is the kill switch, and waste spark?
also could you have the retard start at 3,000 rpm also? to ?
one last thing, are all the wires i got to tap into located at the plug connected to the coil pakck, and the wires connected to the 2.0 sign to the right those 6-7 wires on the black hosing?
