90929, My EVO 16g Posted by GreenRicer, Oct-27-05 05:50 PM
Ok guys, well I just got a EVO III 16g and I got a couple of questions. I've been doin some searching and it looks like there are only a handful of guys with this turbo, but I was wondering: a) Is the flange the same as a small/big 16g, 20g? I'm making my own manifold and am not sure on this one. b) The part of the turbo that runs to the intercooler is made for a flange, and has two bolts kinda like a smaller exhaust flange. My question is, do you have to make a custom pipe to bolt to this flange? or is there another way? c) How do you run the downpipe?? Depending on my manifold I may be able to keep the o2 housing that came with it but I am curious as to what others have done.
I will try to get some pictures up tomorrow if it will clear anything up. TIA guys!

I've heard of a lot of people running the evo III 16g. Check out dsmtuners.com. A lot of people over there have them. Just make sure it's not an evo III GT turbo. They are made in China and they come apart...

It installs like a regular 16G turbo, DSM 7cm flange, etc..

I think you are talking about turbo dsmers, not NT-T guys. For turbo guys you just install it, but 2G's need an install kit.

HAHA!!!
That is actually pretty damn funny dj...I mean usually you get cocky and verbally attack the person that actually said it...in this case you have no clue and just randomly spew diahrea out of your mouth. If you want the correct person for this paticular bash...go see Star Turbo Talon.
Wait a minute....you do that all the time anyways...nevermind.
BTW...you never help anyone with anything on this site...you just verbally bash people. Is this what your therapist told you to do? Go find a release in your life so you can get over you childhood trauma of being molested as a child? Just glad your working through your problems and not denying yourself the therapy man. Good luck with that!

Actually mitsu turbo's do have banjo fittings. Look closely the the picture.
Obviously the reason I left room for aggression's turbo to have the same but for an oil feed.

Tis true, tis true. All S16g's Ive seen offered from HRC have all come with the AN port fitting for the feed line input. But you never know.
I think there are 502 pictures of banjo fittings on google if he had wanted to see what it actually looked like before assuming it was on his turbo. Can't remember though.

Just for fun I did a search on the last 25 posts you've made since I can't really remember you saying anything knowledgable before. I was right, you just like to sit back and waste server space with stupid pictures and stupid comments. I'm just curious, are you at all useful? If so, are you looking for a job because I'd like to hire you as my doorstop :cheers

k, thanx for the info, so I guess all I need is any 16g flange and it'll fit right up. I'm thinking I'll weld the piping to screw into the intake part of the turbo...unless I decide something different tomorrow at the meet.
On another note, I think it'd be really awesome if some people would start acting a little more grown up instead of taking over threads by bashing people for no apparent reason. DJ I do thank you for your small, useful comment about the S16g's, but you didn't have to say anything else.
Matt, good to see ya back on 2gnt!
