Now first off, I am new here, but I have searched for several days here and on dsmtuners with no luck. Now don't yell at me, but the questions i am going to ask may seem very familiar. just tell me if this has been asnwered before, and if you could try to direct me in the right path.

I am looking into the star stage II kit, but I would like to know where the best site would be to buy it. the only thing i would like to change about the kit would be that i want a hks ssqv instead of a hks standard, so which site would be able to do that for me without a lot of hassle?

now I know every one has their own opinions about which site sucks and which is good, but if you could just say where you think i could get this, and not get pissed at me or anyone else that would be really sweet.

If your going to spend some cash hit up overboost.com they can get you the kit for a good price and fro 15 bucks to sign up for their stupid site you get 5% off any purchase. 5% of 3g is 150 bucks. Plus there is free shipping for certian items, not too sure if that counts, its pretty heavy. But with the membership to their site you will save some money, but I dont think that they can do the switch for you, their more of a wallmart for car opposed to a howell, ert, CI and such. Its like getting a car from a dealership and asking them to put different rims on it. The car came from the factory that way and their is nothing that they can do about. If you catch my drift.

I bought my stage 1 from diamondstarspecialties.com and chose all the upgraded components. (IE bigger turbo, SFMU) Then bought me a greddy BOV, IC. Then my choice of miscelanious goodies. Best part about these people was that it took them 3 weeks to "custom make" me a t3/t4 :wary so they overnighted the kit to me for free from Cali. I'm in NH, so it must have costed bank.

first off, thanks for the replies so far.

and second, Crazyeclipse, how much did all the extra stuff cost you, and do you think you could give me an estimate on how long it might take for diamondstarspecialties.com to get my kit to me if all i changed was the bov?

oh and eclipse982nrRST, my name comes from the fact that i have always loved dsm's, but never onwed one because my parents are old school chevy muscl car people, and so my first two cars where a cavalier, and '63 Chevy II nova, but those cost too much money to maintain, and the Chevy II could not be driven in the winter, so now i am going with what i love, dsm.

i am not trying to get insane power out of my eclipse.
the Chevy II would break down ATLEAST once a a week, and being that it was carburated, it would get out of tune very easliy, oh nad it got around 8 mpg when i was easy on it. the plugs would fowl out every one anda half weeks, and lets not forget the cooling problems i battled.
i know to do that car right i needed enough money fora new car, good ingnition, the rear end was going nad you cant just buy a new one for that car any more, you haveto go to atleast a chevy 8.5 10 bolt which is not cheap, and the trans was old, those are a couple grand for a good one (i would never do automatic), the alt only put out about half of what it should have back in 63, the oil pan had to be extra low to get a good amount of oil in the engine since the Chevy II's had the steering linkage go right through the oil pan, and i only had enough for one car, so i couldnt rely on it to get me through the winter.

That is just for starters, but i do know that putting more power to any car will make it more sensitive, and will cause a lot of frustration and money, but the chevy i had was more than anyone should have to go through, and still go have to comute a 30 min drive to school every day. ( i still do love that Chevy II though):D

Hardly darlin. I had to fight with them about the "custom made" turbo. Ridicualous it took so long to "make" but it turned out alright in the end.

Back then it was just a "buy it and slap it on" kinda thing without doing research at all. The upgraded parts were offered to me, if they werent offered, I would have never got them, until later down the line.

I dont have a clue how their business is run now a days. The guy that you speak with on the phone isnt all that great on customer service, but they might have replaced him by now. I got my kit 2 years ago.

Call around and get quotes on exactly what comes in the kit and shipping to your door. Youll also have to decide which route you want to go buy just buying the standard stage 2 directly or do what I did and buy the stage 1 and upgrade most of the parts to makers of your choice. (IE Greddy BOV, Tial WG, Sperco IC, ect)
