8 months of neglect & gaping exhaust manifold leak = dryrot & busted upper radiator hose, ugh... car start overheating pretty bad all of a sudden, pulled over & checked to see coolant gushing out of upper hose @ coolant sensors w/ a good bit of steam. Took just about a gallon of water to get home :(

Immediately placed orders for:
OBX Upper/Lower Hoses, DEI Exhaust Wrap & Locking Ties
Gonna wrap exhaust, upper rad hose, & maybe turbo > IC pipe

Is there a high temp hose for the lil stupid rubber (~2") between the engine exit hardline & the sensor housing? It's a good bit ballooned... also need to get new heat sleeve for hardline :|

Mine and many others have actually had the stock plastic radiator end tanks collapse due to the heat of the turbo. So... yeah that's not actually to uncommon. Did yours brittle away like ours or did the plastic house just break apart?

Anyway, in order to get home from college (370 miles), I just slipped the radiator hose further, and drove that way. I then bougth a better radiator, all metal with metal end-tanks.

Did your radiator pipe come with the orange sleeve to protect it?

Well... I can see the upper radiator end & it loox just fine. I can't see the rad hose itself tho because the orange wrap is hiding it. Either a.) the rad hose underneath cracked which I think happened, or b.) the stock clamp @ the sensor housing is no longer holding strong. Gonna pick up some screw clamps @ AutoZone after work. Water is flowing out of the top of the orange covering @ the sensor housing.

I'd rather not buy a new radiator if I don't have to, not @ this time anyways... I do have my eyes on the Fluidyne tho for ~$400 & some fans for another ~$250. I'm spending enough for now tho...

P.S.
Not nice seeing steam pour out & hear boiling water in the upper hose.
