8927, Next on the list of things to do TT question
Posted by Erik, Nov-06-01 03:57 PM
Thanks all for helping me out with the coolant prob.(Corbin and Darkone; still owe beers to whenever in the midwest!) My prob is in my timer. I have just a plain HKS timer with the harness. Nothing fancy or anything just a timer. Anyway, it works when I turn the key back one notch (acc I think) but NOT when I take the key out. I checked the E-brake wire and thats fine. Maybe I got the wrong wire or something. Any ideas?

If you figure it out let me know. I'm having the same issue with my blitz TT.

well i don't have a turbo and so no tt but the problem must be that you don't have it hooked up to a constant power source. you may want to try the memory wire for your stero or mabye even the lighter if that is constant in our cars

the timers are connected to a wiring harness connected straight to the ignition...no tapping of wires needed unles you have special timer options like (speed sensor, e-brake opt.boost controller).

Good effort anyways.

I'm pretty bored right now so I might go grab a brew and screw with it. We should prob go check w/ the 4g63 guys on this one. I got a buddy that put one in his 96 turbo talon and it works like a charm. Not sure if he uses the harness though. Does anybody have a TT that works properly w/ a harness?

Do you have the parking brake wire hooked directly after the parking brake?? Doing it at the ECU will do what your saying.
