asking what fab work need to be done is like asking what to use to make your car go faster. A million different answers...none anymore write or wrong than the other... its all individual...
search under "custom kits" or "custom turbo kits" or any variation...the answers are there young padiwan...let the force guide your quest... and shit.

You need to make a manifold, downpipe, charge pipe, intercooler pipes, and oil line hookups. If this is a turbo that someone you know is selling for 100 bucks and your thinking aobut it, read gsgoingfast's write up first before you make any decisions. You will have to do all of the same work he did.

As long as you get the right flanges it will mount up like any other turbo although you might have to do some clocking. Go buy Maximum Boost by Corky Bell, its a great read and will answer 98% of the turbo questions you have.

and as some other time-saving pointers... get 8mm studs with a 1.25 pitch, 40mm long, washers, and nuts to hold on your turbo exhaust manifold, since the stock head is aluminum and the last thing you want to do is strip it out.

This is good advice! I took off my stock header to fab charge piping and DP and those bolts are scary.

The turbo was free, my friends mom made him GIVE it to me saturday. It came off of an Audi of some kind, it has very little shaft play but I will rebuild it before it ever goes into the beast. I'll see if I can get some pictures up later today. Where can I get a flange for this turbo, about 98% of the serch results were for t3\t4 turbo posts which is why my last post happened. I have read some of the custom turbo install posts last night, and they were a big help but not quite what I was looking for. I definately appreciate all the help guys. If all of you lived near me I would buy everyone a beer or two.

And now for my last and final question and I will leave you guys alone. Will the K25, even though it is a small turbo, be worth the trouble I will go through to get it on?

do you want a turbo? how bad? can you afford a real kit? how much can you afford? are you prepared to rebuild your motor? (its not a matter of IF you blow it, its a matter of when you blow it...)
answer those and you will find out if its worth it...turbo is a drug, the more you get the more you want... be prepared...

Have the turbo, got it for free from a friend on saturday, I looks new no rust on the exhaust housing, however there is some shaft play, so if it is used with my temporary setup it will be rebuilt so the question still remains will it be worth the time till I get the money to build a bullet proof motor.
