I was just wondering the setups everyone is running. I am plan on running JE pistons, rings and Eagle H rods. Is a Melling oil pump that much better over stock. What bearing does everyone run

My setup for my engine is JE psitons 8.6:1,Total seal piston rings, Eagle rods, Melling oil pump, Clevite bearings, block bored 0.020 over and honed, amd race balanced crankshaft & rotating assembly. The engine has been holding up great, no problems at all.

The reason no one says anything is because they know that YOU can find this easily in the time that you are waiting for an answer.
Je Pistons, Eagle rods, clevite bearings, melling pump.
Search,
there are mixed opinions on
mellin pumps
total seal rings
and wiseco pistons.
some other parts are mostly proven or otherwise...not know for failure.
the bearings ( unless you have oil problems)
rods - eagles do nicely, crowers? better
etc.

Thanks, I guess I will do some more searching. I know so of the sig. have what people are runing but I wanted some advise on what is best.

long block saves downtime, is guaranteed to work, and then you can sell your stock longblock to gain back the difference in cost.

Down time not a big deal. I have two more cars to drive.If I build I know it is right and if not I can only kick my on ass.

still have to give it to a machine shop to bore it, clean it, blanace it, polish the crank, etc.
