88483, Fuel Tuning Question....Searched and didnt get a clear answer

Well my custom kit is all put together just not installed. I will be running 5psi on a 1g sidemount and stock injectors on stock bottom end.

I plan on running the cartech unit for a little while and I just cant find any good posts about the cartech. My question would it be worth it to even install the beast or should I just Ebay it and get a vortech standard FMU.

Would bigger injectors be useless with my initial setup or would they be overkill?

I ran a Cartech for about 8 months and I didn't have a lot af trouble with it. The trouble I had was that it wouldn't hold the static fuel pressure setting. I would vary a differnt times, but if you are on a budget for awhile it will get you by until you can get the Vortec. The stock injectors will work okay for 5 lbs of boost.

Go ahead and get yourself the SFMU. Youll save a lot of headaches.

Stock injectors will handle up to 10lbs of boost without a problem. Since you only have a sidemount though.. i wouldn't run 10lbs all the time. Watch your temps if you do.

I agree with suieclipse. I've never used it personally but... I've heard 0 positive stories about cartech and many negatives. SFMU is a good choices and works well in any case. Get one from someone on the board here, you should be able to find one fairly cheap ($200ish). Don't waste your time with the cartech.
