I am wondering what WB everybody is running, price,and are they happy with it. I need a WB so am trying to find the cheapest and best one for the price.

two that im considering are the innovative and the aem uego, im curious what everyone things of those two as well

I've only heard really good things about the AEM, specially since it has a dual output channel. One goes to the gauge and one goes to your standalone. Just good luck finding one cheaper than 350-ish.

Anyone still using the diy wideband? dino? I'm trying to figure if it would be worth waiting (a lot of extra time in my case) to buy an AEM, or just do a diy.

I have a techedge which is similer to the diy WB. i am very happy with it.

I have the techedge as well. Works like a charm.

I have the Zeitronix. I havent installed it yet but I will when I get him. Its nice because it has a lot of data loging features and you can get rid of a lot of you other guages if you get the display. It will be a bunch in one. www.zeitronix.com

that's probably one I'll get....it does a lot for the money.

Driggs has the zietronix but he is too consumed with sitting on his ass to finish the install...lol THe wideband is very nice and if i were to start over, it would be my choice only because of the size of the brain.

The techedge does all the same logging but the brain is much much larger.

I've got the Techedge 2A0, I built the DIY kit. The 2A0 isn't exactly cutting edge technology but it works great. It's got lots of accessories that I don't use like a tachometer logger, three 0-5 volt loggers, and three thermocouple loggers. I only use it for the dashboard display and the AFR = (volts * 2) + 9 output to the MS.

The 2C0 is really nice because it's tiny, but they don't sell a cheaper DIY version, probably because most of the components are surface mount. SMD can be tricky unless you have the right kind of iron and experence. The damn thing is $300+ USD.

If you're gonna get a Techedge I'd get the DIY 2A0. The VW 6066 or 7057 wideband sensors run around $40 depending on where you get them, which is awesome. Cheap enough to always carry a spare!

Hey nate, do you have a link handy for the Techedge DIY 2ao?? I've been searching around google for a lil while now. I seem to come up with alot of forum results talking about the unit. Unfortuneately I don't see anything else. I know the www.diy-wb.com is one place for the regular techedge unit, unless it's on that page and im completely missing it. On diy-wb i only see them talking about the napaOS971 sensor. TIA nate!

the zeitronix with lcd display is the pimp shizzle...definitely like how it can display and datalog boost, afr, egt, etc. all together woohoo. mine will be flush mounted right above my cd player "insert wooot here".

nate did you also buy the gauge (52mm readout gauge) looks nice but simple. Can you configure a differnt style gauge to read out the voltage ranges the TE uses?

I bought the Zietronix with optional EGT and Boost sensors. Great little unit. The refresh rate to the LCD isn't the greatest but it suites me fine and logs as well. Easily seen in daylight and not overpowering at night.

I have the old LD01 gauge which always reads about 0.5:1 richer than it should. I’m not sure why, I talked to Slick a long time ago and he seemed to have the same problem. On the Techedge site in the LD02 page, it alludes to the LD01 inaccuracy “bypassing the digital - analogue - digital conversion stages”

A few days ago I ordered the DIY LD02 gauge which uses a RS232 connection so I think it will be much more accurate, no more converting to analog.

The 52mm gauge that they sell looks pretty spiffy, but also rather expensive for a gauge at around $150 USD. The boxy LD01 and LD02 gauges cram nicely between the dashboard and the windshield, I like mine there for it’s easier to read while driving because it's closer to the road ahead in my peripheral vision than on the A pillar.

There is an Autometer fuel pressure gauge that is somewhat easily modifiable to work as an analog AFR gauge. The Autometer fuel pressure sensor uses a 0 to 5 volt output, so all you would need to do is hook the wideband up to it, and pop open the gauge to change the face so it reads in AFR instead of PSI.

I remember slicks post about that.. It would be nice to see analog readout of afr so you can see the curves and dips in your AFR's. How good is the TE's logging capabilities? Does it have a dual output? One for the MS and one for a guage if provided?

You can tap one output and run any number of devices to it within reason... Too many gauges on one output and you may load it down which affects accuracy. My 2A0 has three outputs - the SVout, which is a weird curve that goes from 9:1 to 45:1, the linear output which you want to tie to the MS which goes from 9:1 to 19:1, and the simulated narrowband output which is pretty much useles unless you need to fool the stock ECU.
