After reading the writeups about it on the main page i'm a little confused about a couple things, first is the universal fuel rail necessary and second if installing a fp gauge, should i place it on the supply line return line or does it not matter? TIA because this site allows me to do stuff i would never have even attempted
BTW has anyone used rubber fuel line for this is or is that a horrible idea?

you don't need a special fuel rail, on 96+ the test port is a -4an male connection. If you're installing a fp gauge you have to put it between the rail and the sfmu. I wouldn't use plain rubber fuel hose, especially under the car for the return line, but thats just me. stainless isn't all that expensive.
