After 11 hours of wrenching on the car yesterday, I have boost. Only 5 PSI but ohh its boost none the less and I love it.

A BIG BIG thanks to Terry for coming by and helping me do the install all day, I definetly probably could not have done it without him.

It runs great so far, My VAC idle is between 15-20 and it fully starts running 5PSI in 2nd gear.

There is one thing that is kinda erking me and Ive searched a bit but couldnt find anything. When I start up the car, like anytime I start it up I hear a slight rattle\squal from my belts and the car kind of makes a putting sound like its stalling until I give it some gas then BOTH the belts and the putting sound stop and dont come back till I start the car another time.

That is the only problem I have :). My downpipe leaks because HAHN blows and the clamp sucks but Im gonna tighten that up now. Oh yeah and notice the HAHN emblem is upside down....HAHN welded it upside down. BRILLIANT!

Other than that its bueatiful and I love it. I am very happy to be boosted now :)

I swung by terrys today, we figured out the code problem and fixed it. It was running way to lean. EEK. Good thing I got it in order this soon. Cars running perfect now.

oh and you might want to ditch the craptech too....ther junk, find a sfmu then sell the craptech

No problem Nick. I was pretty happy with the way most of the kit went together with the exception of the hahn DP. My god for 3G hahn cant do any better? That and Obviosly Hahns 45psi wasnt a good set point for the FP, that or the gauge he gave you was junk.

All we need to do now is start welding a nice 3" Downpipe and FMIC.

I also noticed the Regulator is badged BEGI......did cartech rename their reg or what?

We forgot to cut the little teb off the coolant pipe while you were over. I guess i was a little preoccupied.

Honestly its better than I expected.

The first night after the install when I drove her around I was like hell yeah this kicks ass. But I went to terrys the next day and I was running wayyyy to lean so we adjusted it and I went for a spin.....HOLY CRAP was my first reaction to say the least haha.

Its awesome, I really love it and cant wait to work on it some more.

Good to hear man! Its great you got to install it yourself as well. I have meet people that have a shop install it and they know nothing that has been done to the car. So when asking them about any paticular part on the car they say I dunno!

I am glad you like it and everything went well!

Now just wait till the boost bug bites you. That is when it starts getting really expensive!

Must be nice... I don't think I'm ever going to get my car boosted. I've been riding around for like 6 months on low compression. It is the suck.

What were your compression numbers?

I just rebuilt with 8.8:1 pistons. It's not running bad, but I can see from my post that I should have elaborated a tad more, lol.
