I Made a kit and been running it for about 3 months. I used a 40 psi shurflow pump. A mcmaster mister nozzle and a pressure switch. I'm running 75% alcohol. On a 100 degree day doing 50-60mph at 13 psi of boost with a SMI temps. are about 78-85 degree.

do a search on the subject. there are a few guys running it, and a handfull of posts about it. i would like to do it one day, but i need to finish the other 472 projects i have going at any one given time.

My friend with a JRSC Focus SVT is using a Snow Performance alcohol kit. It makes a huge difference.

Yes it makes a huge diff. I can run more boost on pump gas with alcohol. Than with race gas alone. The air temps. are alot cooler and more timing too.:thumbsup

A guy who does work on my friends truck does a methonal injection and runs it in with a mixture of windsheild washing fluid. I thought it sounded pretty silly, but it works extremely well.

I will take some pic tonight. It's not that pretty But It works very well. It will drop my temps by about 40 degree's. How do I post the pics

I am considering going in this direction. It's a 114 now here in Vegas because it's summer and no doubt the intake charge temp is hot. I don't like it being hot. Having a an unwrapped turbo makes everything else under the hood feel like it's on fire. ( I seriously need to fabricate a blanket for it!!!)

Where in the intercooler piping section did you install the mister nozzle? Right before the Throttle body, 12 inches away? Where exatly? Also, what was the total cost tally for the project?

Yeah! Send me both and I will host it all for you. I am going to start a section on my clubs website for all write ups people do that need hosted for our DSM's.

Where are you getting your alchohol? Is it pure 75% (lol) isopropyl alchohol, or are you watering it down?

I'm getting my denatured alcohol from ACE. I'm started only running 10% alcohol because the pump said NO FLAMMABLE LIQUIDS so I don't want a fire. Thinking of using my stock fuel pump with 100% alcohol but 32OZ is $6.00 that will get costly.
