87369, fuel rail test port question
Posted by willy, Jun-27-05 05:15 PM
I am hooking up my nitrous today and i noticed that where the test port screws in is right above the #1 cylinder fuel injector. Is my stock fuel pump going to be able to supply enough pressure to be able to suck out of the port and still leave enough for the cylinder to fire? thanks

Try harder willy, most recommend a Walbro, if you shoot anything over a 35shot then why risk it, get a Walbro.

Yeah, I'd pickup a walbro and a fuel pressure gauge. If nothing else get a 0-100 mecha gauge and just run it out of the engine bay in front of the windsheild. That way you can watch for a pressure drop. You using a stock fpr?

I know someone who eventually blew his stock motor up running a 75 shot, but I'm almost positive he was on the stock pump.

if yours is a 95 with the test port and u have a nx kit it should be fine with the stock pump. I ran mine with a 75 wet shot on stock pump and stock fuel pressure for over a year and never blew anything so its up to u
