Welp, I started her up after the turbo install and let it idle for five minutes and she runs great! I set my static fuel pressure at 20psi and I tried to set my idle pressure to 10psi but the lowest I could get it to go was 15psi w/ the sfmu w/ the 2.72 disc and dark spring. My vac at idle was between 15-20 and the car ran steady at 900rpm.
Here's my fuel setup:
-SFMU w/ 2.72 disc and dark spring
-RC 440cc injectors
-walbro 255lph

Now as for taking her on the road. How should I go about tuning the car? I've got the bleed screw but how do I use it? Right now I'm only going to run off the wastegate at 10psi so what fuel pressure should I see at that amount of boost?

And finally, I want to thank everyone on this board for the information and help they've given me thus far. I couldn't have gotten here w/out ya! :thumbsup

Edit: I think I have an oil problem now. I took the oil feed line off the turbo and we cranked the car over w/ the coil pack unplugged. There wasn't any oil coming out of the line and we cranked it for 10 seconds! There should be oil going through that line right away, shouldn't there be? My feed line isn't kinked or anything so I don't know what to do. Any ideas?

Matt

Nevermind about the oil thing, starter it up again and oil shot out so it's all good. But I'm still wondering how to tune the fuel when road testing it. Any help would be awesome!

I took the car on the road today and it was awesome, even at only seven psi. But the highest the fuel pressure would go at wot w/ 7 psi was 50-60psi. I have a dynotune a/f guage and that was reading past 1.00 during every wot run and the highest my egt's got was 1500 degrees. So I'm still running really rich. But is that okay for my fuel pressure to be that low w/ 440s?

Hey thanks Matt, yeah my car feels like it's actually worth something now lol! As for the egt temps, don't most people run around that temp at wot? And again are those lower fuel pressures normal for these injectors and bitch boost?

yep. i have the exact same fuel setup as you. ill have to check my idle fuel pressure, but its really low, and idles fine. yours sounds about right.

egts at 1500 is fine too. mine usually go as high as 1550. my car always runs rich, althogh when i romp on it and it downshifts on the expessway i usually get some audible detonation. i turned the boost down to 14 or so psi and a lot of that was solved.

anyway, ive been beating on my car for a while (15 psi on a 20g) and the trans is holding up pretty well. only time will tell i guess.

Excellent. I'll have to try to lean it out a little more w/ the bleed valve tomorrow. Hopefully I get it right cause I'm suppose to take the car on a 200 mile trip up north tomorrow. But yeah Matt if you could get your fuel pressures to me that be awesome! :thumbsup
Have a good one!
