87144, NITROUS QUESTION Posted by willy, Jun-21-05 01:27 PM
i am just wondering what the compression numbers should be on my eclipse to safely run a 75 shot nitrous. I dont want to blow a hole in my pistons but i am not sure how many miles are on this engine i bought. I can always just run the 50 shot but i am sure i will be tempted to sooner or later put in the 75. Your opinions would help. thanks

As long as the compression numbers are close to eachother and above or around 160 i say go for it.

thanks. i am putting a ported and polished head on it with a aem v2 cai, greddy headders and downpipe with a race cat w/ gst muffler. hopefully a 75 shot of nitrous will make it a little quicker.
