Well i fixed 90% of the compressor surge from my hks sequential blow off valve. Compressor surge sounds like this when you let of the gas under boost "papapapapa.." If with the adjustment screw on the top of your blow off valve is almost all the way unscrewed and you are still getting compressor surge heres what i did to fix it.

First I remove the vaccum line going to the blow off valve. Then I removed the blow off valve from the intercooler piping.

Next I took out the bottom (8) 2mm allen wrench screws at the bottom of the blow off valve.

Next remove the clamp ring that on the fitting that connects to the intercooler pipes. It look like 90% of a circle with 1 hole on each end. You have to use a really small pair of needle nose or a special pair of pliers to squeeze it in then lift it up.

Next remove the (8) 2mm allen wrench screws that connect the top peice of the blow off valve. Clean everything down extremely well, i recommend wd40 and a brillo pad. Make sure the middle peice is sliding easily enough up and down. Rinse everything down with water and dry extremely good.

Next look at the top part of the blow off valve where the pressure screw is. Screw this in just before it goes through to the underside.

When you remove the top part you will have noticed that a peice sits between the spring and the top of the blow off valve cover. It is in the shape of a circle and is a goldish bronze color. The pressure screw pushes against this to control the pressure of the spring. DO NOT put this back in you will save a little over an 1/8 of inch of force pushing down on the spring thus less boost needed to open the blow off valve when letting off the throttle.

Next take the peice that connects to your intercooler piping outside. I'm not sure how your piping is setup but put the peice into where it usually sits and make sure it is completely open into the intercooler piping no overlapping or cutting off any of the passage way. If its turned a certain way atleast on mine it will block some of the passage way between the intercooler pipe and the blow off valve before i moved it. Adjust to where there is nothing cutting off any of the opening. Mark the intercooler pipe and blow off valve peice you brought out to line up later when you go to re-install.

Peice the blow off valve back together backwards from the way you took it apart. Remember do not put the peice that sits on top of the spring and between the spring and the top blow off valve cover back. Leave this out of the blow off valve. Bring the assembled blow off valve out to the car and line it up with the marking you made on the blow off valve and the intercooler piping. Tighten everything back up and put the vaccuum line back on the blow-off valve. You want the vaccum line going to the blow off valve the shortest length possible with no pinches in the vaccuum line. Also you want this vaccum line only going from the blow off valve to the intake manifold and not tapped off of anything.

Hope this write-up helped it sure helped me. The blow off valve sounds off so much nicer now as well. And there is still a tiny bit of compressor surge nothing like before only sometimes at very low boost, but you can hear the blow off valve going off right before, where as before this mod it was all compressor surge and the blow off valve wasnt opening at all. Also there is no loss or leak in boost it holds just as strong as before. The blow off valve sounds much better not only does it make the normal piiing noise now it goes piiiing pooooo.... hahaha sounds stupid when i type it but it sounds awesome in person.

Once again this is just my experience doing this. This is all at your own risk I am not responsible for your mistakes. This is very easy to do, so do not be frightened about taking your blow off valve apart.
