CLUTCHES!!....Why do they have to be non-modular!...I can't get a qoute for a performance clutch less than $500. $500 is a whole lot of money. I checked out CM and the lowest I could getta CM3 is $700. I'm just bout to get a stage I if it's gonna be that cheap. Anyone know of a place to get a decent clutch for a decent price??? My friend knows a shop in LA called Import Parts thast sells a clutch for our cars called ClutchNet..for a stage 2 it costs bout $575..Anyone know of this clutch. Sorry to vent but I hate paying for outrageous stuff.

Its the modulars that are $$. Get a $50 used 95 neon flywheel from a junkyard, resurface it and pay regular clutch prices. Otherwise your stuck with modular prices. I think Sachs and Luks PT clutches are reasonably priced. they arent performance clutches but they hold more than stock. I have the neon flywheel think my trannys on its last leg. right now I dont know what the hell I'll get. Either the HD Lux or clutchmasters stage 4 (I hear CM are available nonmodular now. Hopefully they dont make you buy an alum flywheel also).

Alvin.. I told you.. just get the southland performance clutch. It's what all the racers use around here. If you go the the battle of the imports.. you will also see that a vast majority use southland clutches... they have them written in that shoe polish across their cars. I have their ceramic clutch... and the thing grabs and grips like no clutch I've ever felt. It's only 300 dollars... if I get the chance to talk to the owner (willy) before you come down.. I can probably get you a free install. You know how to get a hold of me.

...Ya see that..Rick has always had my back. Now I must admit that at first when I didn't get my I/C pipes for months I was pissed off, but now I've changed my mind bout him. Met him in person and he's really coo n all. He's hooked me up with shops and deals on things and that's good lookin out for a fellow 2gnt and pinoy. Alls I gotta say is that Rick ain't no bad guy. As far as the clutch...I think 95 and 96s maybe different setups. I have a 96.

Fom DSS. I've had it for about 3 months now (and it's still sitting in my closet):-) but I've heard good things about it and it's not $700

I just went through all this. The modular clutches are more expensive since the flywheel is included (read bolted/riveted) to every clutch. Stock is $350, Luk/Fidanza from Howell is $525, and CM is almost $700. The only one with an upside IMO, is the Howell, because it can be rebuilt. Going with a Neon setup will work, but it's heavier than a modular setup (so I'm told). I put the stock clutch back in for now until I get some more $$$. :-)

99 GS HRC Stage 2

Non modular is a few lbs heavier (so grassroots motorsports says) but not enough to be able to tell any difference (from having had about 3 of each modular/nonmodular). I've decided to keep the Luk 35% increase pressure plate and have clutchnet, clutch specialties, spec clutch or a few others I've found over the net make me a custom 4 or 6 puck sprung disc. Since all I need is a disc, (the luks disc material is the same as you'll get at Napa. I know cause I bought one to put in temperarily from Napa and it had the same disc both made by veleo. The only difference was the center hub was larger on the Luk but not the disc both 9"), I dont plan on spending alot. I dont expect to pay more than a few hundred for just a disc if that (and if its more I'll go to the next of dozens of specialty clutch makers).

Clutchmasters stage 4 is $651.23 from NOPI....retail is $752.25

Clutchmasters stage 4 modular MSRP is $687 dont know what NOPI sells it for. nonmodular MSRP is $459. Stage 2 and 3 are the most expensive due to the cost of the kelvar materials and they have a MSRP of $737. I've priced a few 4 puck sprung ceramic and metal disc (just the disc) and they avg around $250 for a custom. I already have an upgrades LUKs pressure plate and new TO bearing

hey I just a put a new Dickson HO clutch in for about 740$$, shit grabs like a bitch, chirps like a bird too

so would a 95 be a modular or non modular as far as stock set up goes

same as the rest.
