well i got a 3 inch down pipe from hahns. I was just wondering what to do with the cat. Does anyone know of a cat that will bolt up to the flanges? Ive got a lot of 3 inch mandrel bends for the cat back. If i cant find a high flow cat for it with out modifying the flanges i was going to just run 3 inches all the way back with no cat. But i dont know if there is any cons to doing that other than what, boost creep?

Get a 3" Stainless Steel 2G turbo (testpipe)Catalytic Convertor off of Ebay for $30 and it should bolt up from what I've heard..

hahn sells 3" cat's as well

You can get a 3 inch cat for less than 100.00. I dont even want to know what Hahn rapes you for one. I got mine from RRE for 99.00 and welded 3" flanges to it to fit my setup. I know others have gotten a 3" for a lot less.

if this is the HRC vband 3inch downpipe, a 2-bolt flange will not work. The HRC VBand downpipe incorporates a 3bolt 3inch header style flange. You either need to get his downpipe specific cat or make one yourself.

hahns told me all they sold was a test pipe. which is fine but it wont bolt up. What about running with no cat? We dont have emissions here in indiana/michigan.

advance auto sells a 3" cat for ~$70. I believe its a high flow too. But why oh why would you run a cat on a beautiful 3" setup??

i just found a test pipe for an evo8 with a three bolt flange on the front and a two bolt flange on the rear so thatll work out great ill just have to order a two bolt flange and weld it to the 3 inch pipe i have for the cat back. Thanks for you help with this question i appreciate it.

If you can, post up a pic of that evo* cat, I'd like to see it.

Its an evo test pipe or so they say. But just do a search on ebay for "EVO 8 CAT"
