I'm still waiting for some 10AN fitings and SS line for my return line and my missing link in order to start her up so it'll be here monday so I will post update pics on tuesday with the nose back on her! The stainless heat shield is from vecco performance.

for some reason, it never gets old seein a turbo'd 420a! Good work! How long did it take you to do the entire install?

It took about 3hrs to do most of the install all I have left to do is to take back down the DP and take the oil pan off and weld my AN bung in it and hook my SS drainline to it(another hour) and turn the key!!!

haha same here, mine took about 2 months to build everything...

but ya i wouldnt count on it being only another hour. that part is a bitch you have to drain the oil, take off the front cross member, take the tranny shield off, take the oil pan off, weld it, test it for leaks, put it back on, fill it with oil, connect the line... it will most likely take you more then an hour...

by the way, you may want to put some JB weld around the bung on the oil pan just to be safe and prevent any leaks... mine leaked, and putting JB weld on it while its leaking is hard. but good luck, my weld sucked tho.

You got to know that I have a fully loaded shop With 5 lifts and plenty of air tools and have been mig and tig welding for 15 years so I'd say 25 mins to get oil pan off, 20 min to weld and clean & paint.Wait 20 min for paint to dry and 25 mins reinstall and 10 min to install drain line and fill with oil. OK,OK maybe a little over an hour to finish, I can dream can't I?

what's up with the way the turbo is mounted it looks different than everyone elses? unless if its just the pic, but it looks like the compressor outlet is facing downward....anyways looks real nice. do you have the website where you got that heat shield from?

wait a sec i think i'm retarded i just looked at the pic again there just isn't a pipe hooked up to the compressor outlet yet so its hard to see right? i keep looking and can't tell b/c it looks like theres an outlet pipe coming off of the bottom and going the direction of the intercooler pipes

ok, your officially retarded! :P there is a pipe coming out the bottom. the star kits have the turbo clocked that way. hahn kits have the compressor outlet facing the engine

well then i'm also officially confused b/c the one sitting in my room doesn't look like that, it looks like it faces the back of the engine bay and it is supposed to be a star kit

Your supposed to clock the turbo outlet down to be able to use the front mount IC in the Star kit.I made all of my vaccum connections-wastegate to compressor housing
blow off to manifold
fmu to manifold
I drilled and tapped my EGT sensor before I mounted my Exhaust manifold and after I installed it I had to tweak the coolant hard line above the manifold because it was almost right over the hole I tapped!OMG :censored
