installing supporting items before the actual turbo install?
I'm thinking i could install:
intank pump
fmu
missing link?
fp gauge
a/f gauge
blitz tt w/boost gauge (it just wouldn't do anything since its not seeing boost right?)
i've seen some posts saying installing the fuel system components ahead of time is a good idea and others saying its better to install everything at once. These are the items i figured could be installed ahead of the actual turbo install but someone please correct me if i'm wrong also let me know whether you think it should be done all at once or if installing these parts ahead of time is a good idea TIA guys this site has helped me so much by just reading (i tried searchin for this but had no idea what to search for so i figured i'd just ask)

id wait for the fmu and fuel pump till you have the turbo kit to install.
Its just kinda dumb to tune the car to run stock, then retune it to run with the turbo.

Go ahead and install it all now. Won't hurt a bit. The fuel pump is fine and so is the FMU. Set your static pressure like you would for turbo anyway. Since the FMU only raises pressures upon BOOST, then its no different than you driving around out of boost, or with your wastegate actuator disconnected. Completely irrelevant.
Doing those little things now, will allow you to concentrate on the rest and should speed up your turbo install greatly since wiring and running the fuel parts is a lot of the tedious work.

When I was speaking of retuning, I assumed that you would be installing larger injectors. If you are going to run with stock injectors, then sure do whatever you want.

he said he had an FMU... which means if its just a regular vortech fmu and not the sfmu, then he doesnt even mess with static pressure. he just has to bolt it up and go. i did this exact same thing when i installed my turbo. i ran a walbro 255 and vortech fmu for about 2 weeks before i installed the turbo and everything was fine. i also installed my FCD before hand, along with my boost(call me a ricer, whatever :P ) and oil psi gauges.
